Ramboll is the leading provider of risk analysis consultancy in Denmark and provides risk management services on projects all over Europe. Our references cover a broad range of activities from specialized advanced risk analyses, to the development and implementation of overall risk management systems

Identification of risk basis and purpose

Involves analysis and clarification of the required scope of risk management. Only simple risk screenings may be required for smaller projects, whereas an actual risk management process is required for larger projects, with follow-ups and regular reporting during the project

Planning the risk management process

The planning involves development of an actual risk management plan. The plan is based on an analysis of the risk basis and includes the identified risk targets, calibrated risk matrices and possibly acceptance criteria. It describes furthermore who, is going to do what and when in relation to the RM process

Risk identification workshop

Facilitation of workshops for the identification of risks and risk controls, in relation to phase changes in the project, is a central part of any risk management process. The workshop is tailored to the project, and an introductory memo is prepared for the participants prior to the workshop. After the risk workshop risks are organized and a risk owner is defined

Review of risks with the risk owners

After appointment of risk owners, an initial follow-up is performed in order to evaluate the risks with respect to the relevant risk targets, identify risk controls, including appointment of persons responsible for the implementation of the measure and making agreements regarding their deadlines. At subsequent meetings, the status of the risks, risk controls and risk evaluations are reviewed

On-going identification of risks and risk controls

New risks will emerge during the project, and it is therefore important to ensure that they are handled in an appropriate manner as part of the risk management process. New risks can be identified by all project members – and it is important that project management and the risk manager are aware of this. All project members are able to add new risks to RamRisk

Risk status report

Risk status reports will be prepared regularly (usually on a monthly basis), that summarise the status of the project risks. The report gives an overview of the current events related to the project, and how they have affected the risk level. Key activities for the coming period are furthermore highlighted
